A RAINY SUMMER

Wheew ! It's summer here in our place and it’s hot! At the same time, it’s raining! Right, you’re right! It’s kind of weird. It’s supposed to be summer here in the Philippines and it’s supposed to be hot! But at the same time, we are experiencing cloudy afternoons with occasional rain showers. Is this part of the effect of Global warming? Below are pictures we took this rainy morning :

Hey guys! We ought to pray that this global warming effect will not continue to worsen. Let’s do our part to preserve our Mother Earth by being responsible citizens. Let’s support all the effort of our government and even groups who advocate the clean up of our garbage, preserving our natural resources and preventing the ozone layer to be destroyed by so much pollution. We only have “ONE” Earth, and we ought to take care of it. God bless you guys!

HOME AT LAST

After two weeks of speaking engagement, my hubby is finally home. He arrived exactly 11:15 a.m. from a connecting flight Jakarta-Manila-Cdo. IJ and Dale Prepared simple welcome greetings and posted it at the doorstep. They did it with passion.

Of course, he was loaded with "pasalubongs". He proudly show us the pricetags of thousands of Rupiah hahahahaha. We enjoyed browsing the pictures from his 6 gigs camera memorycard. Praise God for the successful speaking engagement. Glory all to God.

A CHAT IN JAKARTA

I was so busy last night with household chores that I just set aside my cell phone on one corner in our bedroom. In the middle of my work in the Sala, I just change my mind to clean first our bedroom , only to find out that a I have text message from my hubby. Praise God! He prompted me to be online as soon as possible since his time is limited. He has to go early to airport to catch their flight back to Manila.

So we have a brief chat. Relaying to me how God in His awesome power used him mightily in two cities in Indonesia – Jogjakarta and Bandung. How he spent millions of rupiah for the”pasalubongs” hahahahaha. One (1)Peso = 212 rupiah . One hour internet fee 12,000.00 rupiah. Anyway, me and my kids scuffled over the keyboard. Overly excited to ask all those questions.
Finally , he will be home after two weeks of teaching and preaching. Thank you Lord for the safe arrival.

TREASURE

This is just one of the artworks of my hubby. He gave it to me during my 2008 birthday. The night before my big day, he locked himself inside our bedroom. I thought he was just meditating or having his quite time. At the strike of 12 midnight, he gave it to me with his gift and the note below :

HE IS A MAN FULL OF SURPRISES.I GREATLY THANK GOD FOR HIS LIFE.

SUMMER IS HERE

It's summer once again ! I have a hard time deciding what summer class my kids would enroll. I want them to do something useful and fruitful not just crouching in front of the TV or computer with a handful of junkfoods. I want them to be exposed to different activites that will be useful in life.

Me and my cousin Bembem are into it. We had a hard time choosing among these : Swimming, sports, music, martial arts, dancing, Arts and Craft, language or math. Our kids are on the same same ages . We want your help please. We are running out of time, April is ending already. Please drop a comment. .

KISS

As I was browsing our pictures on file, my attention was caught on the above pictures. Me and my hubby are fun of doing these ( if our kids are taking the shots).

I read an article about kissing. Its not innate ,it's cultural, dating back to 1500 BC in India. Kiss started by people simply smelling each other. it was Alexander the Great that learned about kissing when he was invading India. After he died the Greeks that were with him brought back to Europe. For me, a kiss is an expression of affection, whether its on the cheek, forehead or hand.

What comes to your mind if you think about a kiss? Leave a comment..

WAITING...

I missed so much by hubby that I waited for four hours on YM hoping he would be online. He was online the other day but I was still on the way for home. Jakarta is 3 hours delayed from Philippine time. I tried to call his cellphone many times but it was unreachable. To eased my loneliness, i just browsed his pictures on our drive H. My kids teased me.... hahahaha. Praying he would be online tomorrow.

SO DEPENDENT

Four days had passed since my hubby was away from an Speaking engagement in jakarta, Indonesia and I feel so incomplete with out him. I dont know why all these hazzles popped-up in the midts of his absence.

  • The front door knob was damage

  • Our room airconditioned just stop working. ( maybe needs freon )

  • Washing Machine isnt working due to damage of the extension wire

  • The water hose got loosed from its hub

  • Some saved pictures were deleted

I realized i was so dependent on him. I refuse to learn to drive the car... refuse to learn all those basic electrical works. etc.. etc.. anyway, I resolve to myself to learn all these things , By Gods Grace.

FAMILY CAMP 2009

One of the most awaited event of our church is the annual Family Camp held every Holy Week. This year was at Mid-way white beach
Resort, Initao, Mis. Or. It was such a joyful, invigorating and fun-filled moment .We enjoyed so much the “Amazing Race” , Bonfire and various team building activities. The “Kalandrakas” presentation of different tribes was a surprise. Various talents came out in the open. We really laugh our hearts out.

The children enjoyed the “swim all you can” in the pool. Countless swimsuit were damaged due to endless slides Hahahaha. The youth had their own sessions of the heart . We soaked ourselves in the presence of God during the Revival Night. I can not help but Cry for His faithfulness always in our lives.

Everyone went home refreshed and excited .Looking forward for Family Camp 2010.

LEFT BEHIND

I cried the first night my hubby was away from me from an Speaking engagement in Jakarta, Indonesia. I cried before the Lord for healing ( my GERD) , for missing him and for missing mama. Every time my husband is away, Mama was always at home to be with the kids and to have a night long chit-chat with me.

My boy and girl usual petty quarrel over the computer added up to my crying blues. It only stopped when my son ask for forgiveness and gave my medicine , while my little girl embraced me. My heart melted when they wiped away my tears and told me that they will be the one to prepare my bland diet food for the rest of the weeks while my hubby is away. What a blessing!

The Birth of G.E.R.D

I am basically a healthy person .I have been admitted to the hospital thrice only ( giving birth to my two lovely kids and once due to over fatigue after a 3-month campaign on my Sangguniang Barangay chairmanship) .

Now suddenly I got GERD. Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease. According to my doctor , Dr. Jesus Jardin, EENT , this was the result of over anxiety and stress . I grieved so much after the loss of my mom, that my eating habit and sleeping time were affected. The first week after the burial was the most difficult time. I don’t have appetite for food and can not sleep at night. Thus the birth of GERD.

I will be going back to my doctor with in this week for an evaluation check-up. At a rate of 1-10.. I’m feeling better now at a rate of 7. I have already claimed my healing. Emotionally , I have moved on…Proof? I am now into colored clothes. ( 40 days I wore only white or white blouses). Praise God!

A celebration of life of Mama Purie

Losing someone you dearly love is not easy.
Remembering the moments with them brings mixed emotions of sadness and joy. Sad of facing the fact that you will never see them again in this life. Joy for remembering the precious memories you share together.
Im still on the process of writing an article entitled “A CELEBRATION OF LIFE OF MAMA PURIE”. Yes this article is all about my dearly beloved Mother. I can not help but sob in between writing the lines . I could not forget how an amazing person she is. She spent her life caring for my father and their six children ( not to mention that 5 are boys… Im the youngest and the only girl). I have seen her labor working two teaching jobs; daytime and night school just to meet the growing expenses at home. How she generates extra income thru Durian and Camote Candy and making Ketchup from overriped Tomatoes just to get us over the bills... Oooppsss im carried away.My heart is grieving now. Ill write a longer write up about her. All I can say is that I MISSED HER VERY.. VERY.. MUCH!
