A WALK TO REMEMBER

This is the house of a very close friend that I have been supervising. No.. I am not the contractor nor the project Engineer… but I do the inspection , the purchasing and the monitoring of accomplishment. Last week, I went to the site and I was glad to see that the concreting of the second floor slab is near completion. It should have been completed weeks earlier if we used steel deck as form works but unfortunately the supplier was not able to deliver the materials on schedule. He kept on promising without considering that we have a target time for completion. So I suggested to the owner to use the conventional installation of form works using coco lumber. If you zoom the picture, you will notice that it’s little bit messy… that’s the dis-advantage of using lumber from steel deck.

By June, we will start the architectural finishes like the installation of bricks for the exterior frontage of the building, tiling of floors and ceiling designs . As of now, the owner has not decided yet with the finishes of the bathrooms. The wife has a specific bathroom vanity in mind which she can not find from the local stores. The problem will be facing soon is that stocks from our local home depot here are limited. So we have to order it from the supplier . That mens another weeks of delay…Tsk! Tsk!Tsk!
