A WALK TO REMEMBER

Our May electric bill was a record breaker ! How come it increased by 80% when we are suffering a 4 – 5 hrs brown-out a day ? I asked my friend who is working at Cagayan Electric Power Corporation and he explained that charges increased two-fold since our electricity is now temporarily generated through the use of fuel. The Agos Dam level is so low that the hydro-electrical system is shut-off .

Oucchh… this is beyond our control! To compensate the high cost of electricity, we are saving cost in every detail of our expenses. Like last week, we disposed our 29” CRT TV and replaced it with a new 32” LCD TV . The kilowatt consumption CRT is so much higher than LCD .

I love our new LCD TV … It has a sharper, brighter and clearer images than our old one. We can watch movie while watching the local news too! What more? We do not need a High Definition or HD DVD player to get most of our viewing . A USB filled with downloaded movies is enough to satisfy our Friday night family movie marathon.

So guys, CRT TV are over the hill , get a new LCD TV and save energy!
