When I was still 8 years old, I was rushed to the hospital due to contact dermatitis. It was summer and while my parents were busy working for a living, I was out in our yard playing with our neighbors. A day after, my arms and legs were filled with itchy rashes. After 3 days this uncomfortable itchiness turned into painful blisters. The burning sensation made me cry all night that my parents were forced to rushed me to the nearest hospital.
I do not know it it was poison oak blisters … but what my mom told me was I got it from the shrubs in our backyard. It was the most unforgettable summer I had since I stayed almost a month indoors because they said it was contagious. Believe me those blisters leaved scars on my legs… Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!
So guys, before these nasty plants will ruin your summer get-away or outdoor activities… be guided and get all the information about poison-oak from poisonoakguides.com. Remember prevention is better than cure. Be aware and beware of poison-oak. Okey?
