Have you heard of our ex-first lady Imelda Marcos having more than 3500 pairs of shoes? Above is the picture shown to the public after the Cory Aquino’s administration audited the Marcoses’ quarter in Malacang Palace in 1986. Wow! It’s a perfect example of women's addiction to shoes.
No question! Women love SHOES. Rarely do we find a woman overlooking the show window of a shoe store, especially when there is sale going on. Like today, it’s the mall-wide sale in Shoe Mart Cagayan de Oro City. The mall is jam packed with women rushing in and out the stalls carrying boxes of shoes. Why we love shoes? Because our fashion statement remains incomplete without the perfect pair of shoes.
Me? I have a variety of shoes, from different colors and styles. From flat shoes, high heels, close and open-toes. From working shoes to formal shoes.Thanks to my sister in California who never misses to sent pairs of shoes every Christmas and thanks to my hubby’s consideration every time I am in the mood of buying pairs of shoes.
How about you? How’s your love affair with shoes? How many pairs do you have? I have just counted mine .. I have existing 22 pairs ( after I sold some in our garage sale last summer!).
