I greatly thank God for the awards received in school by my two kids. My son was top 7 of the first year high school level. He was able to maintain his full academic scholar in the midst of difficulties.

My Grade 3 received her bronze medal today together with other 2 awards. Indeed , God is the source of all the wisdom and knowledge. To Him be the glory and honor ...forever and ever!

Mommy Moments - Summer Days are here

TRAVEL is the synonym of SUMMER to our kids. We love to travel during the summer - whether it's by plane or by Ship. Last year, we went to two different places in the country. Below are some pics :

Posh Wedding

Summer days are here again. Here in the Philippines, summer officially begun on the month of January. Yes, that’s how early it is here. The hot climate usually between 31-33 degrees Celsius can be felt as early as the first month of the year. People then start to make plans for summer vacations. Popular on the list are local and nearby beaches to cool down the summer heat.

Speaking of beaches, I am very much excited to coordinate a wedding to be held in one of the top beach resort in the country. The groom just arrive from USA yesterday and today I will assist the couple for their application of marriage contract. Among the wedding I have organized, this one is the most expensive. From the venue, entourage attires, wedding cake, give-aways and decorations – the couple already spent almost half a million pesos. Hmmm… that doesn’t include yet the airfare , accommodation and food for the relatives and friends who will be flying from Cagayan de Oro City to Cebu City. Good that I was able to cut cost through cheap invitations and video from a friend who owns a bridal gallery. Indeed, getting married in this time of economic crisis is very expensive. So guys, if you are planning to settle down this year…make sure that your resources are enough. Okey?

Calling all Congressmen and Senators....

A comprehensive health care bill has passed both Houses of Congress in United States. The bill will provide health care to 32 million Americans thus saving an estimate of over 30,000 lives per year. The best part of the bill is that it will regulate the insurance companies so they can no longer deny care for pre-existing conditions, charge you more if you're sick, put limits on your benefits, or increase rates with impunity.

How I wish the Congress of the Philippines will pass the same Bill. "Health is Wealth"... our house representatives should give premium to it!

Windows 7 Software Download

I am planning to replace the operating system of our laptop with windows 7. Why? My friends always teased me for having an obsolete OS… Is windows XP already obsolete? Our office OS is still Windows 2003 Lol! They encouraged me to use Windows 7 Ultimate but I am not convince yet since I have read on some reviews that it is not user friendly. I tried my friend’s laptop for 3x and indeed I find it a little bit difficult to navigate. I had a hard time doing my worksheets because some of the icons are nowhere to be found. I tried browsing online for the pro’s and con’s but the users have conflicting ideas making me more confused.

My friends suggested for software download at http://software-free-download.net... I have been to the site while ago but my mind is still in limbo whether to go for Windows 7. Hmmm… maybe I am just being sentimental with my OS or maybe I am just afraid for change and do not want go out from my comfort zone. What do you think?

So guys… If you have tried Windows 7 Ultimate, please share with me your valuable thoughts. Your ideas will surely help me.

More Rain Please ....

Thank God for the heavy rains that poured in Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte for two days last week. It gave a glimmer of hope tow the whole Island of Mindanao which was being squeezed by "El Nino". The Power Crisis had already affected all sectors of the community. Please pray with us for more rain... so that the Hydro-power can cope up with the daily demands of electric Power.

Word-filled Wednesday

Off for Bohol and Cebu Islands

Tonight we will be going to Bohol for a church related business trip and to Cebu City after two days for a pleasure trip. I’m already done with preparing our things so I took a moment to update my site and visit some blogger friends. My hubby suggested to leave the laptop at home so we can focus on our works at Bohol objectively. I begged him to bring it but he told me that we are on the road most of the time so we do not have a chance to be online. He also wants to travel lite... we would be unconformable bringing a laptop with us.

From Bohol , we will hop-in to Cebu City for a break before we’ll be heading home to Cagayan de Oro City. I love Cebu City for its huge malls. Ahhh... this will be the time for a shopping Spree! Hehehe... this is just the perfect time because most of my love ones’ birthdays fall on April and May. April 14 for our little angel Dale, May 2 for my hubby, May 10 for our son IJ, and the 30th of May for my sis-in law. I hope I can find a personalized ink stamps like the one sold online by posylane.com. It’s included in Dale’s birthday wish list. She just love to see her name stamped and embossed on her art works and stationery. Personalized platter would be a perfect gift for my sis-in-law who is fund of collecting porcelain housewares. For my hubby... I am planning to surprise him with an electronic gadget, complete set of tools , a musical instrument or car accessories. For myself? I just simply would buy a new bath wrap for our coming Family camp. I hope the items I have mentioned will be available at Cebu’s shopping malls or else I will order it online at posylanecom.

This is the first time that I’ll be away from the blogosphere for a long time. I will be missing my weekly memes. I wish to post in advance but I really do not have time anymore. Two hours from now, we must be at the sea port. So bye, bye for now friends. I will make it up to you next week!

Ready for our Camp

Our Family camp is fast approaching! Everybody is getting ready for this annual event where in as a Church we can bond together. I’m supposed to travel with the Camp staff to be on the site today and finalize the contract for the venue but we will be going to Bohol and Cebu for a business trip. Last Sunday, we presented a teaser video to motivate more campers and Praise God, after the worship 80% of the church members registered already for the camp.

Being the head of the Secretariat, I am super busy preparing for the program and other documentation works. I pray that God will always grant me with the strength and time to finish all the works before the actual camp day. Our kids are already counting the days... they reminded me last night that we have barely two weeks before the big event. I am planning to buy my kids stephen joseph backpacks .. there old school personalized backpacks were worn-out already. I need a nap mat and a bigger tent to accommodate my nephews and nieces who are going with us. Oooopppsss, I forgot, I have pledged to sponsor the registration of four young people of our church so they can attend the Camp. I guess I have to re-align my purchases with my budget .

Help me to pray for a successful and enjoyable family camp this coming April 1-3. That the weather will be fine and suitable for all our various outdoor sports and activities. Most of all, please pray for our night of revival that people will just be refreshed and that at the end of the day, each one of us will go home victorious, joyful, and giving God all the glory and honor! If you are with-in the City, you are very much welcome to join this camp, just leave me a comment.

India Broadband Forum

School year is ending and my son’s so busy with various school project s, assignments and piano recital rehearsals . I volunteered to help him with his research works on the topic “Broadband Internet Access”. While I was researching online , I happened to stumble upon a press release about India Broadband forum. It has completed it’s first two year of existence this month. The forum has been doing very well on the major search engines including Google where it ranks number two for almost all the isp names in India. I am sure the blogosphere loves the forum as bloggers keep on linking its new post to the site on a daily basis. Wow! How I wish the Philippines has the same forum as in India which is now getting more than 5000 unique visitor per day! Calling Philippine Broadband Networks... can you create a forum just like the one in India? To India Broadband forum -Congratulations for a job well done!

Go to Church...and see Pacquiao -Clottey fight after!

Good News! No brown-outs for the mega fight of Pacquiao VS Clottey ....or else.... we will rally against NAPOCOR...hahahahaha... joke! I just hope the Sunday Worship will not be affected with this fight .. base on experience 70% of church's attendance drop every Manny's bout. Please don't be absent this Sunday... you don't need to watch the undercard.. will you? The live telecast usually starts at 12 NN... so take your time...bear in mind that the preacher wants to see the fight too! I'm sure , he will make a shorter sermon this time!

New Revolutionary Product

With the worldwide health consciousness and the constant cigarette prices on the rise many people are now trying to quit smoking. Unfortunately the desire to give up smoking sometimes is frustrating. According to my sister-in-law living in California, many people are trying electronic cigarette starter kit as first step to stop conventional smoking. To be honest, this is my first time to hear about E-Liquid Nicotine. So i searched the internet to learn more about this new revolutionary product that will help people quit smoking. Hmmm.. electronic cigarettes contain no tar and because it has no smoke you just can light it up anywhere.

I was amazed to learn that their are already millions of users world wide and best electronic cigarette are already out in the US market for 3 years now. Ahh.. truly we are now in the digital age... so this kind of product is not new to developed countries. I just wondered if we Filipinos are ready to embrace this new product.

Thank God I am finally healed!

After a year of discomfort, pain and expenses, I am finally healed from my GERD. What is Gerd is known as gastro esophageal reflux disease is a kind of condition that is focused on the digestive systems of people. GOD has been my refuge every acid reflux attacks at night.

Two weeks ago, I was led to search online for Home Remedies and EUREKA! I found a natural treatment in BRAGG APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. I read all the comments on the links and majority of them pointed to Apple Cider as the best cure. I immediate went to all the leading supermarket in our city and found none on the imported section. Thanks to my mother-in-law who is super health conscious , she told me where to buy.
Wow! I saved a big amount from buying synthetic medicine! Thank you God for leading me to the right remedy

Heat Stroke is Fatal

Yes! Heat Stroke is Fatal. My friend’s father died last week because of this. He was out in the farm from 10 am – 12 nn ( The hottest time of the day). The temperature was 38 degrees celsius or 100 degrees Fahrenheit . So tired and sweating,he went home for lunch... instead of cooling down, he went directly to the fridge and got a can of bear. Two minutes later... he collapsed . The family rushed him to the hospital but it was too late.

What happened? The combination of hot weather and an overworked body proved fatal. Heatstroke occurs when the body's temperature rises uncontrollably. When a person gets hot, the body perspires or sweats. Sweating is the body's way of using evaporation to cool the blood just below the surface of the skin and lower the body's temperature. A person suffering from heatstroke stops sweating, and as the internal body temperature rises, the brain and other vital organs begin to fail.

At last I've joined!

Hyped on Automobiles

My son bought his favorite automobile magazine ( February 2010 issue) last Sunday and guess what? He got a new dream Sports Utility Vehicle - the Dodge Nitro Detonator. I just do not know what’s in it that he like most… so I spared sometime to research on this new model. Here’s the data :

It features 20-inch painted aluminum wheels, eight speakers plus sub woofer, remote start, hood decal, rear -park assist and color-keyed premium cloth interior that matches the exterior paint color. Under the hood is a 4.0-liter V-6 engine delivering a total of 260 hp and 265 lb.-ft. of torque in a five-speed automatic transmission.

Wow! This must be great. I asked him if the Dodge accessories are easy to order online and he grimly replied…. “Mom… you’re so weird… what a question… you can find purchase anything online at a click of a mouse…” Ooppsss… I stand corrected!

As I have blog before, my son and hubby are automobile fanatics. Whenever we are on vacation, they love to search the Malls parking lot and take photos of luxury and vintage cars. Like when we were in Mall of Asia and Trinoma, Ayala they spend almost a half roaming around the 6,000 auto capacity parking lots. Wow! That’s how crazy they are with cars…m Anyway, I love what they did? Roaming around the parking lot while me and my girl were free shopping around. Isn’t it stress-free to shop without your men around? Lol!

Back to their craziness… expect them to be browsing endlessly from various car shops when they are online. Sometimes they agree and debate on certain issues of each of their favorite model. Are men always hype on this matter? I have 5 brothers but non of them are as fanatics as my hubby and son . Anyway, I understand them.. its their way of bonding together.. they believe that what you confess you possess someday . My son’s room is filled with automobile posters – name it, he has it!

Skywatch Friday/Week-end Reflection

I Want To Play Golf

My love for sports began at an early age...I guess I was only 5 years old when our family transferred residency near our city sports center. I could remember my father will bring me to the track and field every afternoon. He will jog around the oval while me watching him and all the people around doing various exercises. I love watching games like volleyball, basketball and tennis. If not yet satisfied with those games, I walk further to see the swimmers at the sports center's Olympic size pool.

I was actively involve in sports during my high school days. I played volleyball and the women basketball...hahahahaha.. I was a little boyish being influenced by my 5 brothers. My involvement in sports stopped when I was in college to give way to my academic scholarship.

Now, if given a chance I would love to play golf. Why golf? It’s the millionaire’s game! Joke! Kidding aside, I am just intrigue what’s in golf that only selected few involved into it. I browsed the internet yesterday and found this Golf Shop which gave me idea about the sport. I learned that I need to have a Golf Platzreife ( License ) to play golf. Oucchh... a golf club like Golfschläger cost a considerable amount. Truly it is a game of the Millionaires. Would you like to know more about golf? Visit www.golfakademie.com , who knows? You would be the next Tiger Woods?
