Truth on Exercise

Exercise ! But do not over-exercise ! That’s what my Aerobic Teacher taught me before . She added that excessive exercise is harmful because it causes our cells to release dangerous “free radicals” into our blood stream. When this Free radicals accumulate faster that our body can eliminate it, they begin to destroy our body cells.

So if you are frustrated enough to get rid of those bubbly fats, exercise and take a fat burner like Lipofuze . It has a patented and proven ingredients to help you lose more weight and build lean muscle at the same time. So again... exercise but do not over-exercise!

Entering the Mens World!

My hubby is so busy that he has no more time to update his blog. He planned to shut it down since the page rank was downed to zero. I encouraged him not to easily give up ... so i took the time to update it last night. The easiest thing I can do is post pictures. I started to browse mens blog forum to get ideas. Weeeee.... I happen to stumble a site which discuss enzyte... Lol! I realize men’s topic is harder to discuss than women. On the other hand, I learned a lot from a day of browsing the men’s world.

Our Souvenir Program

As early as now, our church is preparing for our 25th Silver Anniversary next year. I was appointed to be one of the Secretariat staff. Tomorrow (Sunday) the committee will meet again to discuss the Souvenir Program. Being the Church’s Administrator, the majority of work goes to me. Thinking of the bulk of documentation works scares me... huhuhuhu. I just remember our college Alumni Homecoming where I headed the Committee for Souvenir Program. It was such a stressful task – gathering articles, pictures, greetings and other contents were not easy. Ahhh... now I am faced again with this challenge.

All about saving Money

We have always been told since we were young that saving for the '"Rainy Days" is very important .Now that I am married and have two kids , I found this saying very... very true. Joggling my appointments from the office to the house, taking care of the water and electric bills , the tuition and school needs of my children, become at times stressful specially when you have to budget your money. But thanks to our commitment to save, it is really true what you sow is what you reap. We have peace of mind whenever financial emergency arise , we can have an extra source where we can use.

My hubby and me decided to invest our money on high interest savings accounts and now we are reaping the benefits of it. Last March, was the general assembly of our cooperative and we enjoyed the 13% interest on our savings plus the patronage refund and dividend.

In this time of fast needs high cost of living , we really need to save. And control the urge to spend on impractical things. As a wife , I always have the nose for sales , now I but items not only for the quality but also for the price. By saving, I added more value to my hard earned money. How about you? Start saving now and build a strong future for you and your family.

Video Surveillance Equipment is a must!

Any establishment with out a video surveillance equipment is prone to robbery. That what happens to my cousin's meat station .In broad day light her store was robbed my masked men. Worst, her kids was inside the office and were harassed . They were traumatized with the dreadful incident . That was 5 years ago but until now the case remains unsolved.

My Dad

My father is a lawyer... at an early age I was exposed to some legal cases. There was a time that my dad brought me to the court room and I was shocked with the emotional hyped with-in the room. Sometimes he worked overtime at home with his clients and being the Daddy’s girl I am always by his side. Legal protection or Protection juridique is one of his expertise being a labor attorney. He’s pro-people that is why when he ran us Barangay Chairman in our place, he won the election landslide against the opponent. He stayed 9 years at his office as Barangay Chairman . Now that National Election is coming ( May 10 ), can't helped but remember my dad!

Cargo Liners

Deciding to buy a brand new pick up for our planned farming is quite challenging. We were able to visit for the second time our farmland located at Bukidnon. We were so encouraged to do farming after seeing the landscape of the place. It was located in the midst of a Pineapple plantation and the area is very suitable for farming vegetables, fruit trees, raising livestock and many more.

Owning a car suitable only for city rides suddenly became a discouragement to us. We want to have a pick-up truck on our own so we can visit our farm with ease knowing that the road going there is quite rugged. We decided to save and be thrifty so we can acquire at least a second hand pick-up for farm use. And we promised ourselves to use it with care and maintain it properly so we could maximize its usage. We included in our maintenance plan for the pick-up to buy durable cargo mat for added protection. That’s when we happened to visit CARiD.com. They are dealers of quality and durable Cargo Liners for trucks, cars or SUV’s and trunk areas for that extra protection against dirt, scratches, spills and debris.

We will surely have that one in our pick-up truck. Try to visit their site so you could appreciate the different types of mats designed for you specific need.

Everything is Instant!

In this fast-paced world where almost everything is “instant” like instant coffee, instant messages, instant ID... people also want to lose weight instantly. This is the reason why many have been tricked by ads that promise everyone to lose 15 pounds in a week by using their weight loss supplement. To be honest, I was once a victim. I tried this HL product only to find that it’s a waste of time, money and effort. I struggled a lot with the supplement... it has many restrictions. My diet was altered and I have a hard time sleeping.

Finding the best weight loss supplement which is authentic and proven not easy. My advise? Thorough research and read customer reviews .

Doctor's advise on Weight Loss Pills

Ahhh...I am already frustrated with my aim on losing weight at least 2 lbs a month. What is happening is that I am gaining weight 4 lbs a month. I am so busy with my work, my domestic obligations and blogging that I can’t find time to jog around the neighborhood or do my favorite Hip Hop exercise.

Just this afternoon, I consulted my brother who is a medical doctor on what
best weight loss pills he can recommend. He has no particular product in mind but he said that I should look for a weight loss pill which is proven to be safe and effective. The product should have a guarantee and return policy.

All about Chandeliers

It’s true chandeliers add beauty and class to any room in the house. My mother-in-law is fun of collecting chandeliers. Last Sunday, we brought her to the mall ( to ease the heat due to the scheduled brown-outs) and you know what? We went directly to the home improvement area to see the latest designs of chandeliers. Now, she’s planning to buy a mini-chandelier on her bedroom and an outdoor chandelier for her lanai. I told her to replace her old chandeliers to save energy and money on electric consumption. I guess next week is long enough for her to buy those precious collection.

Smith & Wesson

Being the only girl and the youngest among 5 brothers, I grew up loving men stuffs . I love men sport – I play soccer and basketball together with my brothers. During summer , I do cycling and skateboarding around the neighborhood. Oh! I love men shoes. I remember wearing my brother’s Smith and Wesson shoes every time we go hunting birds at our farm in Bukidnon. I felt secured from insects and other animal bites wearing those hi-cut shoes. Talking about Smith & Wesson.. undoubtedly they are the preferred firearm for law enforcement and but don’t you know that they are now becoming the preferred Boots too?

LCD TV DVD Combi

It's my hubby's birthday this Sunday ( May 2) and I love to gift him an lcd tv dvd combi .Though our TV set is already 29" but it is already old. I guess it's time to buy a new one. Our Family loves watching DVD movies .It's our inexpensive way of bonding together. Going to Cinemas is costly. One movie ticket will is worth 3 DVD's on sale. So we better stay at home on week-ends and watch TV.

Short Talk!

My friend called me up today and I have a hard time with voice recognition due to the cellular phone's poor signal. What I understand with our short conversation is that she is now working in maison de retraite in Europe... Wow! I never thought she will com this far. She worked previously in the home of the aged in Amelis – aide a domicile Paris. Her heart is really close to the elderly, no wonder she enjoyed her job.

Green Living

Last April 22,2010 I was invited to join the 40th Earth Day Celebration in our City. The program was well participated by different government agencies, schools, non-governmental organization, civil society and the business sector. There were also participants from Christian, Muslim and Native groups. To be honest, I went to the activity half-hearted and prejudice. I thought the program would be another political campaign gathering (our national election will be this May 10) or another protest rally by the leftist... I was totally wrong.

My eyes was opened with different issues concerning mother earth. The different videos presented made my heart grieved with the reality of the damaged we have done with our environment. One video struck the audience – the warning of a more severe and dreadful flood the city will suffer if the mining operation along the river will not be stopped. January of 2009,our city suffered two flash floods that damaged millions worth of infrastructure and crops. It even claimed lives of about 30 person. If this mining quarries will not be stopped our city will soon be 10 ft below sea level. The program ended with signing of commitment for a safer water, cleaner air and unpolluted land. To keep families healthy, to build clean communities, and to make Philippines stronger for the future.

In connection with the program, the Cagayan de Oro Electric Power Corporation offers to exchange incandescent bulb with Compact Fluorescent Light ( widely known as CFL). Yesterday, I went to their office and exchanged 5 of incandescent bulb with CFL.

Tallking about a greener life, I remember Werner International Enterprises. It’s mission is to help people greening their lives. They are the leader in the lighting fixtures and supplies industry that provides excellent value in our catalog of energy efficient and economically priced light bulbs. Werner International Enterprises knows going green with your lighting takes more than just turning off the lights when they're not in use.

Make your home or businesses environmentally friendly. Go Green!

On Accident Claims

When you are a foreigner of a country and you met an accident... it’s really hard to process Accident Claims. This was what happened to my friend’s family who met an accident while on tour in Europe. Of course , insurance was part of the fee they paid for the Packaged Tour but the problem was the Travel Agency was not able to submit the insurance application form since they were still waiting for the cut-off time for submission. Praise God they have friends in that place who helped them with the hospitalization and other expenses. So on your next travel.. make sure to booked for a reliable and trusted travel agency .

Inside the Horse Carriage

I coordinated a wedding two weeks ago and I should say it was the grandest wedding I have attended. Not only because the venue was held in one of the top 100 Beach Resorts in the whole world but also because most of their guests were flown to the site with all expenses paid like Air Fare and Hotel Accommodation. It’s a garden wedding with a combination of modern and medieval theme. Below is our picture on the horse carriage. Notice the golden horse tack ? It’s really gold plated. Yah! That’s how world class the resort is.

BPI Certification

As a Civil Engineer by profession, I am aware how hazardous existing housing units are already in our city. Many of the subdivisions here ( including ours) were constructed before modern energy and new building codes were established. Some subdivisions were constructed using sub-standard materials and specifications. The result? Unsafe and fire hazard community. For a week now there are already three records of fire incidents brought by faulty electrical wiring. How I wish, we have a BPI Building Analyst Training here in the Philippines as offered in the US. It is a course which teaches individuals the essential knowledge to provide homeowners an overview of energy consumption, health and safety . If given the chance I would love to have a bpi certification .

VBS 2010 Printed Box

I am doing this post while on a lunch break . I am attending right now the training of Vacation Bible School for 2010 . Thank God our Church is the host of the event, it saved me time , money and effort . VBS 2010 theme is “ The Incredible Race”. Looking at the printed boxes alone will surely excite the children to go track side and learn from biblical pacesetters how to become champions someday. This is a fun-filled opportunity this summer to reach out the children in the neighborhood. I can not wait for the Vacation Bible School to start! Below is the VBS printed box.

I want to join BC Bloggers Party!

I was in Cebu last week coordinating a wedding that is why I missed the first batch of BC Bloggers Party. I emailed Mommy Paula begging to join the party... and Thank God she responded immediately. Because of the continuing brown-out in our city, I wasn’t able to post this blog. I hope it’s not yet too late again for me.

Exercise or Pills?

Are new year's resolution are made to be broken? Maybe not for you but true to me. Four months have not passed since New Year but I haven’t been serious with my promise to lose weight. Last month my alibi was I do not have new exercising attire. Now that I have already one, I reasoned out again that my work-out DVD’s are already obsolete. I told my hubby that I need brand new DVD’s such as Hip-hop and Taebo . I guess the problem really is not the props nor the time. The problem is me, myself and my laziness.... right?

Sometimes I thought of taking weight loss Program that involves no surgery , starving and vigorous exercise. A friend suggested taking weight loss Pills but I am afraid knowing that there are lots of women suffered from its side effects. How about package meals? Nah! It’s very expensive… I can not afford it . . According to my brother who is a medical doctor , the best program is one that is medically supervised and is built around a low calorie diet . It should stimulate our metabolism. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find such weight loss program here in our locality. What we have here are products sold through networking and it extremely expensive.

I happened to stumble a site which offers very tempting package of losing weight. The hcg diet is quite affordable and the reviews from consumers are believable. My only problem is how can I convince my hubby to apply hcg diet? I am sure, if I’ll open up… he will be disappointed since he is really convince of the conventional way of losing weight - and that is through regular exercise. Hmmmm… I really do not have choice this time but to discipline myself. Slash some hours from blogging and divert it to exercising. What do you think? Can I make it?

2/52

My son took this picture while we were waiting for the wedding to start. We were early for the Garden Wedding. Thanks to Plantation Bay Management for letting us stay at the Ballroom .... the guys were sweating with their Barong.

52 Weeks is a year long challenge for MOMS to be in a picture once a week for one year. We are always the ones behind the camera, this is OUR chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with our family. This is my first entry. If you like to join head to Forever in Blue Jeans.

Overly Conscious?

He’s so conscious with his looks that often times he spent half an hour just looking at his face in the mirror. He’s always the last one to come out from our house every time we prepare to go out for Sunday worship and other family outings. One time, I heard a shout from him worrying for a small pimple on his face .Good, I have a pronexin acne treatment in my medicine cabinet. I applied it right away…. Ahhh…. That’s the story of my very 13-yr. old son’s consciousness over his appearance.

Unlimited Activities at Myrtle Beach Resort

Veronica, my sister-in-law and her church mates are itching to get away for a vacation after a vicious winter. They wanted a place where they can drain out the strain from stressful works with out draining their bank accounts …. Lol! She lives in Georgia so I suggested why not enjoy the sandy beaches of her neighboring state - South Carolina. They will not only save time for travel but also money since there are lots of affordable yet world class resorts in the coast like the Myrtle Beach Resort.

I have heard so many times about Myrtle Beach Resort from my blogger friends. So I goggled it and found Myrtle Beach to be a perfect travel destination. It is the most visited vacation spot in the USA because of its good weather, amazing beaches, entertainment hubs, shopping centers, numerous parks, museum and hundreds of golf course. Activities are almost unlimited … from beach to non-beach activities.

I am sure my sister-in-law and her friends will surely enjoy staying at the Myrtle Beach Resort. She promised to send call me when they will arrive at the place. How I wish our family could spend one of our vacations on that place. Ahhh… it would surely be a dream come true. How about you? What’s your dream travel destination?

On hgh Supplements

I was at my brother’s pharmacy last week to check the inventory of the beauty products I displayed at his store. While waiting for the Pharmacist, I happened to notice some new items on the shelves. What caught my attention is the hgh supplements. To be honest,I really do not know what hgh is so I let my brother explained it to me. HGH means Human Growth Hormone. The supplement is used clinically to treat children's growth disorders and adult growth hormone deficiency. He said it has many benefits such as - increased muscle mass, decreased body fat , increased bone density, increased energy levels, improved skin tone and improved immune system function. I guess this hgh supplement is good for everyone. I am thinking of taking it too!

What's the Best Cream for Wrinkles?

Getting old is inevitable but looking young even in old age is achievable. Yah! This is not to lift my own chair but every time I met old acquaintances , their common comment is that “I don’t look my actual age”. Maybe because I am petite and slim ... Lol! What’s my secret? Moderation on everything and exercise. To be honest, wrinkles are slowly appearing on my forehead and eyes. I am looking now for the best cream for wrinkles. I have been to a site which reviews the best 5 wrinkle creams. It helped me a lot in deciding what wrinkle cream to buy. How about you? What's your beauty secret?

Mom's Loose Diamonds

One thing my mom regret in her life was when she sold her loose diamonds in a very low price. My parents were converted to a religion which prohibited from wearing jewelries thus in a haste my mom disposed her jewelries to her close friends and relatives. That was 35 years ago.... now, I could have been the sole heir being the only daughter . How could my mom forget about me when she sold those precious diamonds? Aahhh... my heart aches every time I remember that very unwise decision. I’ll better forget it. I know I can have my own in God’s time.

What you Confess you Possess!

This is what we are doing right now… being positive to have a new Family Vehicle with-in this year. My hubby even printed and posted a picture of our desired vehicle at the wall of our computer room. Every now and then he search online for second hand vehicle . Whenever there are local automobile display in the city, expect him to be there!

We desired for a vehicle first for it’s fuel efficiency. Due to the economic crisis we are now facing, people are getting practical in choosing a vehicle which a liter of fuel will last a longer distance. A rate of 14-18 km/liter would do. Also, we wanted a diesel fueled one.

Second is a vehicle with larger seating capacity. A van that could accommodate 8-10 person since we love to tag along people for outings. We are crowded already with our Sedan that sometimes some will take public utility when going to church and other outdoor activities. The kids are getting bigger too! Unlike before where my ‘lil girl would sit beside me.

Third, we love to have a 4 x 4 .. so that we can use it to drive to our farm in Bukidnon. The last time we went there with our car… we were trapped at the muddy portion of the man made road. Whew! It took us 2 hours to get out from the track.

Fourth, the last but not the least…we want a vehicle which is trendy also. With attractive led tail lights, grills and other accessories.

With the specification I have given above…. I guess your mind is now in limbo on what vehicle we really want. Me? I’ll go for a van because of its capacity. My hubby, goes for a pick-up because of its practicality and usage in the farm , my 13-yr. old son wanted a branded one while my little girl desired any vehicle as long as the color is pink or lavender. Waahhhh…. I am sure the vehicle we wanted that fits our description is not yet out in the market !

Looking for a Moving Company ?

Moving from one place to another can be very stressful. You need enough time and exert effort for packing all your belongings. When our family moved from our ancestral home to a subdivision, it took us two weeks to complete the work. Moving services were not yet available in our city in the 70’s, so my parents transport all our things using only a public utility vehicle. We have a hard time transporting some of our huge furniture like sofa, beds and cabinets. Packing and transporting my mom’s antique and heirloom collection was the hardest part of the job. We have to wrapped it carefully, and transport it cautiously. Worst thing that happened was some of our belongings were stolen during the transport.

Now in the 21st century relocation is made easy since there are countless of moving agencies available. Some even provide packing services for busy people. One trusted and reliable provider my sis in California recommends is ... they are a local Moving Los Angeles company which strives to make your move a stress-free and efficient experience. They eliminates agents thus the fee is much lower than its competitor. So for your home or businesses relocation... live it to Melrose .

My New Net book

Praise God, I have a new net book... as fruit of my blogging income. I have been longing to own one since our laptop is too big and heavy for portable use. I had a hard time choosing my net book since their are countless of models already out in the market. My first choice was a 12 inches single core net book but I replaced it with a model which has 6-cell battery. I was dis-appointed with the first one since battery life is only 1.5 hrs. I am happy and satisfied with what I have now. ( I'll post the picture soon). It has a battery life of 11 hours ... so that means also 11 hours of non-stop blogging...Lol!

So if you are looking for netbooks , chose a model with a good processor , bigger hard drive and longer battery life.

What's Your Favorite NFL Team?

Yesterday we went to Del Monte Philippines to get some important documents for our parcel of land rented by the company. Since its already lunch time, we decided to eat at nearby wellness cafe. We happened to meet the owner Ms. Mariz Gonzales who’s on an advocacy to extend education and help unfortunate but deserving street children. She also introduced to us to her campaign as part of her advocacy to promote football in the Philippines specially to the street children in order to gain popularity since it is not our national sport. I remembered my sister-in-law who’s living in the US and have sometimes witness an NFL football game. She was shocked to discover shops and stores are closed down during an NFL game, and even government workers and people on the working class would stop to go to work just to watch the game. She witnessed how fanatics the people every football game that some gambled with their favorite nfl picks. How I wish this game will be included as one of our national sports. I guess many young people will surely love the game. How about you? Do you play football or watch NFL game? What’s your favourite team?

Getting Serious On Studies

Summer is here but my kids have not decided yet what to engage for this two idle months. My little has lots of things in mind. She wanted to go for swimming and ballet lessons. When she saw an advertisement at a mall’s billboard for a cooking training , she enlisted her self. My! She’s interested also in Judo-karate! Ooopppsss.... her mind is in limbo now.

My teenager son is a little bit serious this time . He wanted to be proficient in public speaking and skilled in mathematics techniques. He’s been through with sports and creative arts last year so this time he wanted something more academic. He was challenged to work hard and study more since his target this school year is to be the top 1 in the class ( He's a scholar in one of the top High School in our city). He even asked me to buy cheap textbooks this summer as his tool of studies. I told him to have fun and just relax but he insisted on reading books and study more. I guess, I will give him the right to decide. Anyway, we have already spent a 5-day vacation last week and I am planning to treat them for another week of vacation before summer ends.

Getting Ready

Death is inevitable.... a normal life process. It is the common denominator of all mankind. Whatever your status in life – rich or poor, your age – young or old... we all face death. We will all experience the death of someone we know and in the end, experience death ourselves.
The death of my mother last year was such a devastating experience. A hole was created inside me and I felt my world shattered. I was in great pain and sorrow. Being the only girl and the youngest in the family, I was so close to my mother. For 3 months, I was in the state of denial. I thought of her just being on vacation. I didn't want to accept or believe and I tried to tell myself that it wasn't happening. I was so depressed and stressed that I was sick of GERD or Acid Reflux. My sickness worsened and it was only then I realized that I have to let go and accept the reality .

Looking back with that painful experienced I can’t helped but thank God for sustaining me with His strength and grace. Financially, God provided us with the resources we need. We were able to claim a considerable amount from her funeral insurance. It was then I realized the need for insurances coverage. The family then decided to have a funeral insurance quote for everyone. Indeed it a very was a practical decision.

A Million Worth Wedding

Last Thursday, I went to Cebu City together with our church’s band as part of the team that would officiate a wedding of a very close friend. I coordinated the wedding while my hubby directed the music during the ceremony and the reception. It was the most expensive and grandest wedding I have attended in my whole life. The buffet dinner cost P 1,500/person , the decoration was superb from the ceremony to the reception area, the 7-layered cake is no ordinary – its a combination of fruit cake and moist chocolate, the customize invitation and give-ways were imported from a famous wedding store in the US. What else? There were around 50 guests which expenses like ship’s transportation, hotel and food were all paid by the groom. Whew! The wedding expenses estimated to a million is more than enough to finance a year of our foundation’s feeding program!

As I was computing the expenses incurred for the wedding , my mind was thinking of the businesses I can invest with the money. I can use it for an internet cafe business, purchase a franchise of a food stall or I can use it for optionstrading . Anyway, it’s what the groom desired of... to have a magical and grand wedding.. and that is priceless!
