Mom and her Dissertation
I am proud of my mother-in-law. At 74 years old she is still healthy , strong and mentally active. Although she has already retired from 37 years of government service as an Education supervisor in the Department of Education, she is now working as School Director of an International School here in our city.
Before her retirement, my mother-in-law graduated from her doctoral degree major in Liberal Arts. I still could remember those days of assignment writing she had to undergo as part of her requirements. Not to mention the time she would spend up to the wee hours in the morning to accomplish writing a coursework .
Finally, my mom had to prepare for her dissertation defense and we somewhat contributed to the data to fill in the format for dissertation. She is really an energetic and a multi-talented person. She encourages us to pursue the things we dream and do our best in everything we do. Even with her job now, we would hear from the teachers under her the praises and admiration they have for my mom. She would not stop thinking of things to improve her work and help others to improve too. She simply want to live a life to the fullest and a life that matters.

Although managing a wedding is like managing a complex project. Wedding consists of many details and it is my responsibility to make sure each part is moving along harmoniously. Blogging vs Biking
My hubby is an exercise buff. He is passionate with his work-outs and mountain biking as I am addicted to my blogging. He has a blog site but he updates it once a week only. I encourage him to spend 30 minutes a day blogging to increase his site traffic and visibility but he preferred to spend that 30 minutes reading his Men’s Health Magazine or browsing the internet for the latest fitness program . Maybe blogging is not really for him.Don’t you know that he spends 2 hours gruelling the terrains of the nearest mountains here in our city? Rain or shine he’s doing it 3x a week. If not busy with work, he will do it straight 6 days ( except on Sunday of course!). Two of his cell phones were damages already while doing his routines. Sometimes he would feel pain on his back and legs. I would let him take pain relievers or give him a good massage. Both give him relief from stress after work outs. My sister-in-law who’s working in the U.S. as a Physical Therapist recommended us to buy tramadol without rx for simple pain and even chronic ones. Singapore to Dahilayan Adventure Resort
I posted on my other site yesterday my disappointment from not being able to book for our Singapore Trip. The airfare promo was 70% off from it’s regular fare but because I was waiting for my sister-in-law’s confirmation if they will go with us, all the available seats were already taken when I opened the net to book online.
My kids were dis-heartened. How they longed to spend their vacation in Singapore and visit the Universal Studios! Well, we just did our best to comfort them by offering another vacation escapade. Instead, we would visit an adventure place where families could enjoy indoor and outdoor activities all in one place. That is Dahilayan Adventure Resort in Bukidnon. It’s fast becoming popular here in our place for its adventure packed family activities such as Zip line, ATV tours, outdoor camping...etc. I’m just imagining me and my hubby sitting on outdoor chairs gazing the sky, counting the stars, and just enjoying the night with the kids.
This would be our first outdoor adventure with them and we look forward to doing it. Singapore will come when opportunity knocks again.

I regret I was late in grabbing the airline promo seat for Singapore. For the whole morning yesterday , I waited for my sister-in-law’s response since they also expressed their desire to go with us for an Asian Tour ( Singapore – Thailand- Malaysia) this coming October. Actually, I have already created a full-packed plan like that of Branson Missouri vacation packages… but I am disappointed for their very late reply. All the seats were already taken for our desired dates. Maybe it’s really not yet time for us to go.

I just received an invitation from our homeowner’s association as I am updating my blog this evening. The president of the association was the one who handed me the letter and he requested our presence to grace the Induction of officers this coming Saturday. They wanted my hubby to give a short exhortation. I could’t say no when I saw the program that our Honorable Mayor , Vicente Emano will be the Inducting Officer. I guess this is a great privilege for my hubby to speak in front of the Mayor and other public officials.
According to the president, a Disco Party will follow right after the Induction of Officers. Hmmm…. wine by the case will overflow during the celebration. Congratulations to the newly elected officers of NHA Lourdesville Homeowners association, Inc… specially to its new President, Engr. Henry Salada. May God will bless all your endeavours for the betterment of our subdivision.

Dreaming of Europe Tour
Competition is really good! The two local airlines in our country is competing each other with its airline fare. The other day, Asian destination was only P1,499 and yesterday the other airline offered an P888 fare for Singapore. I started to panic since my sister-in-law in California promised to treat the whole family for an Asia tour this December. For the whole morning, my hubby tried to contact his other sister living in Manila to get the birthdays necessary for booking but unluckily all their phones were unreachable. When the time we were able to contact them, the limited seats were already taken.
Hmmm… I guess it’s really not time yet for us to see the Universal Studio in Singapore. Who knows? We might be going for a Europe trip? Trip to Claveria , Bukidnon
Above are pictures on one of our out-of-town trips. A friend invited us to the blessing of their rest house in Claveria, Bukidnon. I have never been to the place so I savored each minute during our ride. Along the way I could see cloud-capped mountains and boundless flowers quietly indulge in their bloom. I kept on asking my hubby on the names of the trees and plants we passed by. Our pick-up truck moved so fast that I was not able to capture the scenic beauty of the streams and rivers along the way.
Arriving at the rest house was very exhilarating. The mountain view was perfect for their wooden made vacation house. I love their log beds and log chairs. How I wish we could build our own rest house in our farm land. It will surely be a haven from the stressful life in the city.

A friend told me that learning Photoshop is easy but I do not have the time to enroll for the subject. The two busy weeks are over! BHCCCI's 24th Anniversary ( Sept. 5) and the Cagayan de Oro Evangelical Ministers Association's 6th Anniversary ( Sept. 12) were celebrated with a blast! The preparation for the Blessed Hope Got Talent was very tiring but it’s worth the joy and excitement. During the COEMA's Anniversary Celebration, we won the grand slam for both our booth display and talent presentation. Glory to God!
